About Us!
The Freemason Ghana
The Freemason Ghana is an organization of men and women who strive to live by the fundamental principles of truth, morality, and brotherly love. It is a non-profit organization and supports charity and community service. It unifies men of high ideals regardless of color, creed, or worldly status.
There are several million Freemasons worldwide. The oldest Lodge under the United Freemason Grand Lodge of Ghana was established in 1772. The Order locally has withstood the tests of time as it has evolved to its present status of several thousand members.
They are ordinary men and women, 21 years and over, of all religions and backgrounds, who share a concern for human values and moral standards and a respect for the laws of society and the rights of individuals. There are many reasons why men choose to be Freemasons.
It promotes brotherly love, self-development, family and community values. Freemasonry provides members with an opportunity for public service and hands-on involvement in charitable and community issues, as well as a chance for them to socialize with men from all walks of life without religious, political, or social barriers.
Freemasonry is a centuries-old fraternal organization that traces its roots back to the medieval guilds of stonemasons. While its origins are in the craft of masonry, modern Freemasonry has evolved into a philosophical and philanthropic society. Freemasons follow a system of moral and ethical principles and aim to promote personal growth, mutual respect, and charitable endeavors.
Within Freemasonry, there is a hierarchical structure known as the Masonic Lodge. The Lodge consists of three main degrees: Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason. These degrees represent different stages of
initiation, learning, and understanding within the organization.
While there is a hierarchical structure in terms of degrees, it is important to note that Freemasonry promotes the idea of equality among its members. Masonic teachings emphasize the importance of treating all individuals with respect and dignity, regardless of their rank or position within the organization.
In a Masonic Lodge, the Worshipful Master holds the highest rank and is responsible for leading the Lodge's activities. However, this leadership role is primarily administrative and does not entail authority over individual members outside the Lodge's rituals and functions.
Freemasonry encourages its members to support and assist one another in times of need or distress. Members often form strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood, and it is common for Masons to provide assistance, advice, or mentorship to fellow members. However, these interactions are based on goodwill, mutual respect, and a desire to help, rather than on hierarchical authority.
Ultimately, Freemasonry is a society founded on the principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth. Its members strive to live virtuous lives, contribute to their communities, and support one another in their personal and spiritual growth.

Our Belief
Freemasonry welcomes good men of all religious leanings from Christianity, Islam, Hinduism Sikhism, Judaism, etc, you name it.
We are not a secret society as our lodges could be found in your local communities all over the world and opened to all inquiring minds seeking to make a daily advancement to their moral character.
We are equally not a religious organization nor are we a substitute for your religious belief system but rather a fraternal organization that teaches men to dedicate themselves in fellowship to God as enshrined in each Freemason's Sacred religious doctrine, Service to mankind, and honor to oneself.
We implore the use of the working tools of the Medieval Stonemasons to tailor/build our morals as well as the allegorical teachings derived from the Sacred Doctrines of one's religion (God's words) to govern our faith.
We do not control the world nor seek to control the world but rather to enlighten the mind of each Mason to boundless possibilities in his quest for knowledge, truth, and honor.
